What Orwell Actually Believed

 This 15-minute video attempts with some success to show what Orwell really thought. Brilliant though he was, and positive though his influence on history has proved, he struggled, as did all his peers, to get a handle on this difficult and violent period. His saving grace was his abhorrence of totalitarianism. What he was actually for was more problematical. An acquaintance with C H Douglas’s work may have worked even greater wonders. No matter, what he gave us, stumbling out of a confusing muddle, was something of great value.
